Joy City is a newly opened glitzy shopping centre located in Xidan. Joy City offers a very comfortable shopping environment to browse or be tempted by world famous brand names or mid range and high end local brand names.
The shopping center itself stands out from other shopping malls in Xidan with its unique glass frontage incorporating many interesting angles across its face.
Once inside you will be amazed by the huge voids decorated in a variety of themes as they stretch up toward the heavens. Above the 7 floors of retail space, the building then provides apartment and hotel accommodation.
Recently opened within Joy City is the clothing brand Zara which has proved popular for shopping in The Place shopping center.
Zara is a large store selling a wide range of quality but affordable clothing to suit a variety of occasions for both men and women. Dockers, the San Francisco based leisure wear brand, opened its first retail outlet in China in Joy City in April 2008.
The Thing is a Shanghai graphic and fashion design boutique featuring a range of personalized T shirts, shoes, jackets, bags, notebooks, badges and bedding.
In style designs feature and monthly competitions allow people to design their own T shirts with winning designs being turned into products for sale.

Joy City is located on North Xidan Avenue, in the Xicheng District of Beijing.
Subway
Get off at Xidan station on subway line 1 and line 4 and go to exit A for Xidan North Street, the center of Xidan business district.
