The UAE Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai Expo was designed to emulate the country's sand dunes, with one side having a rough, wind-sculpted texture and the other being smoother. It was constructed using a complex triangulated grid of stainless steel, allowing for quick, economical construction and future disassembly.
