The UAE Pavilion at Shanghai Expo 2010 was a landmark, 3,000-square-meter structure designed by Foster + Partners to resemble a rolling, golden sand dune, symbolizing the UAE's desert landscape. Its gold-colored stainless steel facade shimmered, changing colors to reflect the shifting light, while its shape was designed to provide shelter from the wind and sun.
