Panda At Beijing Zoo, Beijing, China 北京動物園
Beijing Zoo dates from 1908 and is located in the western part of Beijing. As of late 2025/early 2026, there are approximately 1,900 giant pandas living in the wild in China, according to the National Forestry and Grassland Administration. When including the over 800 pandas held in captivity, the total population of giant pandas in China is well over 2,700, reflecting successful conservation efforts.
