Upon arrival you are met by very energetic hosts and the sweet aroma of the best in traditional fine dining with classic dishes and favourites such as pan-fried dumplings with seasonal filling, beef with Hangzhou peppers, five-flavored eggplant, wild rice stems with Chinese bacon, Chongqing Spicy chicken and much, much more.
The vast communal table allows total strangers to socialise as they enjoy the food and the dinner can last hours into the night. The close proximity of the open kitchen also allows diners to watch the master chefs in action and the food is served straight from the stoves right to the diners. The communal table is found within a traditional hutong so it is the perfect place to experience authentic food with an atmospheric setting to match.
