Oriental Shopping Mall 北京东方新天地
This shopping mall is a part of Oriental Plaza which is one of the largest commercial complexes in Asia. Oriental Mall connects Gold Street, Silver Street, North Dongdan and Wangfujing Street. This mall is regarded as the ideal place for dining, entertainment and leisure by Beijing's white-collar workers. The Malls are actually made up of six themed shopping malls.
1. Market Square 缤纷新天地
Market Square is close to Wangfujing Street. It seems like an indoor carnival with its lively and busy atmosphere. The major shops are Sunlight store, CRC, Esprit and FAB Audio-Video.
2. Metro City 都市新天地
Metro City has it all for the youth market with its wide range of casual clothes and jewelry. Be sure to visit the Sony Science Museum and Apple Centre in this area. Metro City uses clear screens to give a feeling of space and technology. Other brands on offer include Ne.Tiger, Tom Tailor and Nike 360. Along with its countless shops there is a wide range of restaurants available for those able to drag themselves away from the shopping.
3. Garden Court 庭苑新天地
Garden Court located in the middle of the shopping mall connects with the Junyue Hotel. This area boasts famous brands like E.Zegna, Dunhill, Kenzo, Paul Smith, Pal Zileri, Givenchy, Burberry, S.T. DuPont, Valentino, Ferre, Missoni and St. John.
4. International Boulevard 寰宇新天地
If you enjoy pursuing fashion you won't be able to resist a visit to this area. World-famous brands like Liuligongfang, Swarovski, Bally, MaxMara, Ports and Shiseido are among some of those on offer.
5. Wonderful World 活力新天地
This part of Oriental Malls has the biggest sporting goods center, Sport 100. Also included here are the Audi and Volkswagen display halls along with Oriental Movie Theater.
6. Sky Avenue 天空大道
This area provides various restaurants like the slap-up Japanese reataurant called Daole and the noted Chinese restaurant, Jiahe.

Dahua Movie Theater 大华电影院
This cinema is one of Beijing's oldest movie theaters with a history of more than seventy years. Although it has been redecorated you still can see traces of old Beijing peeping through. Ticket prices here are cheaper than the theater in Oriental Malls. If you visit Dahua movie theater, the third cinema is better than the other two cinemas. The third cinema is smaller and cosier with comfortable sofas making an ideal environment.

Dongdan Park 东单公园
While not a big park this park features lush plants along both sides of the path for those who like to wander. Many wooden chairs provide a comfortable place to relax if you want to take a breather for a while.
Simple sports equipment for old people wanting to stretch or maintain their mobility is provided. Sometimes you will see people dressed in hospital clothes from one of Beijing's famous hospitals opposite the park out to stretch their limbs and take in the air. Each morning many people practice tai chi in Dongdan Park.

Zhuyufang 竹鱼坊
Zhuyufang sits in a small quadrangle and is famous for their roast fish.
In the middle of the yard is a glass covered area which is decorated with a delightful brook alive with many goldfish. Watch cyclists and their bicycles come and go from the hutongs through the glass gate. Vintage tables and chairs add to the Yunnan province aura of Zhuyufang. In fact you will feel like you are in Lijiang when you enter this restaurant.
Book ahead to reserve a table if you decide to visit. If you do not book then visit this restaurant at lunch time or after 8.30pm in the evenings.

#44 Silk Cloth Store 44# 丝绸店
This store deals in silk, flax, foreign trade dresses and fashion suits. The designs are based on a simple city style.

Qishilin Western-style Restaurant 起士林西餐厅
A Russian restaurant, its main store is in Tianjin which was built in 1901. The décor takes you back in time with its renaissance, western-style, wooden furniture, soft lighting, red carpets and world famous pictures lining the walls.
A touch of nature is added with the many healthy potted plants that make for a soothing environment. Popular with older clientele who are fond of this restaurant for the fine food and reasonable prices this restaurant also appeals to the younger set who frequently come here to celebrate Valentine's Day.
