Shanghai Maglev Announcement

Having just arrived in Shanghai, we board the airport maglev train.

The train hits a top speed of 431 km/hour on the short journey to a subway stop closer to the center of the city. The 30 km trip takes but 8 minutes.

The announcement begins in Chinese and then switches into English with a dulcet "Dear Passengers."

The woman's voice is soft and silky, with a pleasing accent.
