The Hong Kong Space Museum (HKSPM) on Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront is a short walk from the Star Ferry and adjacent to the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Opened in 1980, the Hong Kong Space Museum comprises two wings - east and west. The east wing contains the planetarium, the Hall of Space Science on the ground floor and the Stanley Ho Space Theatre with an OMNIMAX film projector. The west wing has the Hall of Astronomy on the first floor and the museum gift shop. ![]() ![]()
HKSPM ExhibitionsThe HKSPM includes many hands-on exhibitions arranged in themes such as the Ancient Astronomical History Area, the Satellite and Space Probes Area, the Manned Spaceflight Area, the Space Shuttle Area and the Space Station Area. The museum includes a cafe, a museum gift shop and resource centre.
